CUES OF THE PAST

Scroll down to see a gallery of my past projects built for friends around the world (along with a few for myself!). Most of my work resides here in North America, but I have shipped cues to every continent except Antarctica. The pace of my cuemaking has slowed down over the years, as I now build roughly ten to twenty cues per year now which is about half the production I was doing a decade ago. About five hundred cues have been produced in my shop since 2004. My latest work will be listed first, but scroll down to see examples of my earlier cuemaking projects. Few of the cues here are available as they were mostly custom commissions from the past. Please visit the Shop section to peruse my available offerings. Feel free to contact me if you are interested in getting something similar made.

GOD ROD - OSAGE ORANGE AND BLOODWOOD

2019

Another example of my God Rod jump/break design. Minimalist design, no fancy decorations on this one. Local Bourbon County Osage Orange was harvested by me back in 2004 and has been resting in my shop for the last fifteen years. Osage Orange is very heavy when first cut down, but it eventually dries out to a medium weight wood. This cue ended up at exactly 20 ounces total weight with the super heavy bloodwood shaft. A brass Radial pin was used in the main joint, a lighter aluminum version was used in the jump joint. Jade green G10 was used for the ferrule/tip combo. Simple brown phenolic collars make for a bulletproof recipe.

"GLAMDRING'S SONG"

2018

Built myself a new playing cue. Been playing with the same cue for about four years, so it felt like time to do something new.

This cue is my first attempt at utilizing the laser for every inlay operation. Inlazering is an interesting new technique I have been working on that allows me to produce inlay parts which are so delicate they can barely even be picked up without damaging them. I simply can't cut parts that fine on the CNC mill, so I've begun exploring cutting them with the laser and this cue is the first project to be finished using this technique. As far as I know I may be one of the the only cuemakers in the world currently using the laser to do this type of work, but I am sure it will catch on fast.

19 ounce total weight
Flamed maple forearm, Stacked leather wrapped Shedua handle.
G-Fyre flamed maple shaft (Holy jeezus I love this shaft)

I'm loving this cue, but like all my cues I'd be willing to sell it and build myself something else.

MARNIE'S JUMPER

2018

A purpleheart jumper with a stainless joint and rings to match her trusty Viking playing cue.

AIR STRIKE 3-PIECE JUMP/BREAK

2018

The latest iteration of my most popular jump/break model. Technically a 3-piece jump cue by design (since 2006), the new versions have enough mass to pop off the break shot with good control and power. Short, light, compact, versatile. Quite a few of the big cue companies have started making similar models to my Air Strike, but none quite match the performance!

This model features a Spectraply laminated jump handle available in green, red, or yellow colors. The ubiquitous G-Blood jump/break shaft is standard issue. This batch features a dense and brutally hard hitting brazilian cherry break handle to pump up the mass a bit for break shots or really long jump full-cue jump shots.

For 12 years, the Air Strike model has given players maximum versatility in jump cue configurations for different situations. Shaft only for ultra-tight jump shots, Shaft + jump handle for standard jumping at moderate range. Shaft + break handle for medium-long jump shots. Full cue jumping for maximum long range distance and accuracy.

17.5 oz total weight
9.9 oz jump weight
50 inches long total.
29" shaft, 10" mid handle, 11" break handle

$450 shipped in the US
